There’s always something a little bit sweeter about a Friday before a three day weekend.
BoldrDash
Website for Rhode Island’s obstacle course race (think Spartan races, but on a more local level). I’m not usually into grunge style web design, but when BoldrDash approached us to create a site for them, they stressed how important it was that the elements of the race (wood climbing walls, mud pits and the like) were predominately featured.
The design went through numerous revisions along the course of development, so the final looks a little different than my original design above, but overall I liked what our team was able to accomplish. Just a heads up though, if you go to visit the site the client (against our better judgement) wanted the video on the homepage to autoplay- so you might want to turn down your speakers ;)
Stay Social with Ultimate Dive Travel - email design
I know email marketing is like 2013’s junk mail, but damned if they’re not fun to design.
Short Sale Network
Branding and one page website design for the Short Sale Network. The SSN reached out to us to create for a new identity and website for their company that conveys trust as well as familiarity. I decided to keep the design classic and slightly traditional, with a little 40s inspired signage flair.
Design Stuff Incoming
Just a heads up that i’m going to post a few design things between today and tomorrow.
As fellow web designers can attest, sometimes you can design a site and it doesn’t see the light of day for a VERY long time due to client revisions and development hold ups. I’m just lucky to have a few designs go live recently (and one of my more recent favorites going live within the next few weeks), so I’m just excited to share.
Every morning I get to loosen up and start my day by creating images for my company’s blog, and this morning’s post was all about the tumblr/yahoo acquisition so I thought I’d share the main image with you guys.
I know a lot of people have been posting their thoughts on the big purchase- so I’ll just throw my two cents out there: Let’s wait and see what happens. There, simple enough. No reason to jump ship due to worrying about what ‘might’ change, instead, lets see what David Karp ends up doing with his newfound funding. Who knows, maybe it’ll make tumblr better?
Also, yahoo’s font is terrible. Just had to get that off my chest.
Some details of my Iron Man 3 piece.
Since there hasn’t been enough Iron Man 3 art on my dash I figured I’d post my interpretation of the film, which btw, I loved!
There’s actually quite a lot of detail in this one, so I’ll post some close-ups later on today.
just putting the finishing touches on a new drawing
Q:Your photography looks absolutely stunning! Do you mind my asking what camera you're using? Sorry if its on an about page, I'm on my phone and its a bit too late to whip out my laptop. I have a Canon 60D myself. :3
Hey, Thanks! Pretty much all of the photos I post were taken with a Canon T2i and a Canon EF 50mm lens (with a few shots on my iPhone here and there). I used to take a TON of photos on my old 35mm camera and develop them in my schools dark room, but since I graduated I stopped taking pictures for a looong time. I decided to get an entry level DSLR to get back into it and so far I’ve been pretty happy with the results this little guy can produce - I’m glad you like them too!
