So i can finally share something I’ve been working on in my free time for the past month and a half. As some of you may know (or heard me gushing about) my cousin Matt has been hiking the Appalachian Trail for the past few months, starting all the way down in GA and just this past weekend he made it back to CT- he’s been crushing it! This week, starts the last leg of his journey to finish the trail up to Maine, and i wanted to get this out there in case it helps as a little boost of motivation, or just knowing that I’m rooting him on from over 3000 miles away.
So heres an illustration/poster I drew based off of some of the pics he’s been posting (thank you to Louis hfhfh for providing me with some great shots to reference), done in a 10 color screen print ‘movie poster’ style, in two versions- one in classic-muted natural tones as well as a sunset variant. Hopefully this serves as some sort of memento for this incredible experience, and that incredible mountain beard you’ve got growing!
Matt, what you’re doing is inspirational. I’m beyond-words proud of you for going out there and accomplishing your goals and your dreams. Keep it up, and keep us all posted on the adventure dude- can’t wait to hear the stories when you’re all finished!
